Objectives: 
Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to: 
  1. Recognize that behaviors can be as addictive as substances; 
  2. Categorize common addictive behaviors and assess patients for addictive behaviors; and 
  3. Identify unethical behavior in physicians, resident physicians, medical students themselves and their peers, and be aware of treatments available for behavior addictions.

    Kenneth G. Davis, MD, CPE, of Conroe founded the Conroe Family Medicine Residency Program after leaving his private practice as a family physician. Dr. Davis currently serves as part-time faculty for the program, which operates within the Lone Star Family Health Center in Conroe and has served on its board of directors. He is a graduate of The University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine. Dr. Davis completed his residency at UCLA San Bernardino County Medical Center.

    Phuong Nam-Thuy Huynh, MD Bio

    Phoung N. Huynh, MD, of Dublin, Ohio, is a family physician at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She also is the medical center’s clinical lead for primary care addiction medicine and serves on the board of the Ohio Physician Health Program. Dr. Huynh is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Michigan hospitals. Her fellowship followed in primary care sports medicine at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland.
