The passage of new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines has come and gone, but how much have our practices changed and how much has this impacted patients with chronic pain?
In this lecture, we will dive into the changes from 2016 to 2022 in the CDC guidelines for opioid management. We will review the impact these changes have brought in the past year with the current opioid epidemic and how this has affected overall chronic pain management across specialties. This is a lecture for all specialties that interact with chronic pain patients and will aim to provide insight into solutions for the future.
