    Research relating to concussion and youth sports has led to a better understanding of the long-term effects of concussions on children and adolescents. Primary care physicians will want to stay informed as they deal with sports-related injuries in their patients. This course gives physicians the tools to address concussions. Shane Miller, MD, a pediatric sports-medicine expert, explains how primary care physicians can evaluate sports-related concussion and discusses concussion treatment and prevention in young patients. The course also outlines Texas law related to concussion management for student athletes.
