Alan Atwood is the Associate Vice-President of Technology for the Texas Medical Association. Alan has over twenty-five years of information technology experience including the past thirteen years with the TMA. Alan and his staff manage the technology needs for over 350 staff from twenty-five medical societies located in five states. Alan also serves as the TMA’s HIPAA Compliance Officer. Alan completed accreditation with the American Institute of Healthcare Compliance (AHIC) in 2012.

Donald “Rocky” P. Wilcox, JD, CAE serves as vice president and general counsel for the Texas Medical Association in Austin. Mr. Wilcox has written more than 100 articles for Texas Medicine and other health care publications. He taught at The University of Texas (UT) School of Public Health program at the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio and the University of Houston MBA for Physicians program. He currently teaches in the Policy and Community Health Management program at UT-Austin.

She has worked in both private practice and a large managed care multispecialty group. Ms. Willis is a member of Texas Medical Management Association, Professional Association of Health Care Office Management, Medical Group Management Association, and an associate member of Joint Council of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. She is a certified as a professional coder by the American Academy of Professional Coders.
