Genevieve Davis is a TMA director of Payment Advocacy.

She has been in the healthcare industry since 1994. Genevieve's expertise stems from her extensive experience working in physician practices and in managed care contracting. She has experience in physician office education and training physicians and staff in correct coding/billing practices. Genevieve assists physician practices with issues affecting reimbursement, through the TMA Hassle Factor Log Program and regular meetings with insurance carriers.  She is the coordinator and facilitator of the TMA mini-consultation program.  Genevieve is an active member of the Professional Association of Healthcare Office Management (PAHCOM).

Donna Kinney, CPA, is Director of the Research and Data Analysis Department at the Texas Medical Association.  She is TMA’s in-house expert on physician practice economics, operating costs, fee schedules, and relative value units.  She conducts TMA’s physician surveys, develops TMA’s responses to regulatory actions, and uses data analysis or other research to support physician’s interests in key Texas and federal legislative issues. 

Experience from these activities led Ms. Kinney to develop information and publications to inform physicians about issues that have financial impact on their practice operations in order to clarify and simplify some of the difficult issues in medical practice.  Ms. Kinney is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a BBA in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
